SI SERIES P10i, P10j, S210 V und S210 P
The SI SERIES initially consists of the high-performance P10i and P10j column speakers and the S210 V and S210 P subwoofers.
The i and j versions of the P10 have different vertical dispersion angles, which are a very narrow 5° for the P10i and a wider 15° for the P10j. The directivity of the P10j is asymmetrically (j-shaped) directed downwards, which is achieved by the mechanical design alone and without the use of a DSP.
Due to the line arrangement of the transducers and the narrow vertical opening angle, the P10i/j are particularly suitable for large rooms with long reverberation times or for outdoor long-throw applications. The speakers achieve excellent STI values here, while simultaneously ensuring high transmission quality for speech and music in combination with subwoofers.
Both the P10 and S210 P are tested and certified with IP 66 protection, making them ideal for use in particularly demanding outdoor environments. The combination of dustproof and jet-water-proof mid/high unit and subwoofer is unique worldwide and delivers uncompromising audio quality even under the most difficult environmental conditions. The S210 V subwoofer, which has an IP 44 protection rating, is suitable for less demanding outdoor environments.
All P10 speakers are designed for use in voice alarm systems and have been certified under EN 54-24:2008 (type B outdoor use).
Installations in sports facilities and outdoor areas can be carried out quickly and safely thanks to the extensive range of mounting accessories and the certificate of ball impact safety in accordance with DIN 18032-3.
All P10 speakers are also available with a high-quality, fully encapsulated 100/70 V transformer with three different power taps (37.5/75/150 W). This allows for very high sound pressure levels to be achieved, making the P10i/j TR particularly suitable for use in integrated (voice) alarm systems.
Over 40 colours are available for visual adaptation, even in challenging environments, meaning interior design or heritage requirements can be implemented straight from the factory.
SI SERIES CM-X
CM-X extends the SI SERIES portfolio with particularly high-quality and discreet ceiling loudspeakers with customisable appearance, simple installation and operation. The („Ceiling Mounted“) CM-4, CM-6 and CM-8 models not only offer a particularly high maximum sound pressure level, but also deliver very high sound quality thanks to the selection of high-quality speaker components, extremely low-resonance metal enclosures, newly developed passive crossovers and, last but not least, detailed DSP equalisation.
The loudspeakers can be used as part of a sound system for emergency purposes in accordance with EN 50849 and thus fulfill a dual function – with corresponding cost benefi ts for the owner. In larger or more demanding applications, the SI SERIES CM-X can also be combined with other HK Audio installation products, such as the SI SERIES, VORTIS 2 or FINEO, ensuring a homogeneous sound transition to the main PA system.
The front of the speakers features the coaxial speaker arrangement with a central dome tweeter, short wave guide for the woofer and integrated bass reflex channels. The power selector switch on the front for switching between Low-Z (8 Ohm) or High-Z (100/70 V) and the respective power taps of the integrated transformer can be operated without tools, even during operation, thanks to the magnetically attached front grille. The enclosure of the speakers with high-quality steel backcan is very rigid and low-resonance thanks to its special shape and reinforcements. As a result, there are no disadvantages in terms of sound, such as those associated with inexpensive ceiling speakers in the form of rattling noises or resonances. All plastics used for the SI SERIES CM-X are manufactured with special flame retardant additives so that the relevant international safety standards are met as standard.
CM-4, CM-6 and CM-8 can be installed in ceilings without any additional accessories. Suitable C-rings and load distribution bridges are available as optional accessories for installation in suspended ceiling systems with limited load-bearing capacity. As standard, the delivery includes a rimless, very flat front grille in black and white, which can be quickly replaced thanks to magnetic fastening. A template, which is also included, allows the installer to quickly and precisely make the appropriate cut-outs.
Filter data for many different digital signal processors (DSPs) is available in the download area. Simulation data is also offered in GLL format for EASE (4.4/5) and EASE EVAC (2).
