VORTIS is a series of high-performance speakers designed for demanding indoor installation applications.

All VORTIS series products feature an internal passive crossover. The frequency response corrections are made via DSP filters, which are available both as preset files and in open table form.

VORTIS is particularly suitable for applications with stringent demands on sound quality and power handling within a fixed installation.

Over 40 colours are available for visual adaptation, even in challenging environments, meaning interior design or heritage requirements can be implemented straight from the factory.

The VORTIS series has everything required to meet all the requirements of such discerning applications: a wide range of models, extremely neutral sound reproduction characteristics and variable directivity.

Three different high-frequency horns are available for each model, which can also be rotated by 90°, thus providing a wide variety of sound reinforcement options.

A wide range of accessories is available for integrating VORTIS speakers on-site, including rotatable and tilting U-brackets, anchor points with quick-release pins and plates for cluster arrangements.

EASE and EASE Focus 3 GLL and CLF data are available for each model or cluster variant to ensure the transmission characteristics and area coverage can be planned precisely.

Products from the LINEAR SUB, C SUB or SI SERIES can be used as a low-frequency add-on.

Accessories

TB-R

Universal T-shaped tilt bracket for mounting any VORTIS or VORTIS 2 speaker (except model 10810) on trusses, ceilings, wall mounts and beams. The finely tiered punched rail allows angles of up to -45°.

Tilt mechanism with angle adjuster

This mechanism allows the speakers to be angled in 5° increments, up to a maximum angle of 45°. The U-bracket functions as a connection between the speaker and the tilt-angle mechanism.

U-bracket with mounting plates

The U-bracket can be used to mount the speaker systems on the wall or ceiling. The systems can be adjusted flexibly in combination with the tilt-angle mechanism and/or the wall mounting plate. Two mounting plates are supplied with the U-bracket as standard. Each VORTIS (2) speaker system has its own matching U-bracket. Depending on the model, several speakers can also be mounted together on one bracket.

Cluster extension plate

This plate is required when clustering more than two speakers. It serves as a shim when forming clusters with three speakers.

Cluster plate

Clustering speaker systems results in a wider coverage angle. The plate allows the speaker systems to be arranged horizontally or vertically. If more than two speaker cabinets are clustered, you’ll also need the cluster extension plate.

Wall mounting plate

Used for mounting on walls and ceilings. The wall plate allows the speaker systems to be rotated in 5° increments. To connect the speaker systems to the wall mounting plate, you’ll need the U-bracket and, if necessary, the tilt bracket.

AP-10 B

With a load capacity of up to 360 kg (WLL), the attachment point allows for the securing or installation of speaker cabinets with M10 rigging points on steel cables or chains.
