Charity Festival for Kids with COSMO
On July 13th, 2024, the Bettinger Mühle in Schmelz once again turned into a festival island for a good cause: At the Heart Rock Island Festival, admission was free, with visitors asked instead for voluntary donations, which go 100% to children with chronic illnesses. This year, the audience was thrilled by performances from the 80s rock tribute band Maidenhead and the Celtic rock group Triddana, among others.
The festival is organized by Heart and Heavy e.V., a non-profit association that has been supporting children with chronic illnesses since 2019. The association finances its aid projects through events like Heart Rock Island and the concert series Rock Meets Benefits in Lebach. In 2023 alone, they were able to raise €120,000, which was donated directly or through partner organizations to benefit the children. HK Audio has supported the association several times by providing professional sound equipment for the charity concerts.
For the sound at Heart Rock Island 2024, HK Audio once again supplied a COSMO system, consisting of:

The main PA was powered by Lab.Gruppen PLM12K44 amplifiers, while monitoring was handled by Powersoft X4. In addition, the new filter presets were used — the same ones that had already generated excitement and positive feedback at Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt earlier this year.
