The historic Church of San Francisco de Asís, one of the most significant National Monuments in Chile’s V Region, underwent a complete sound reinforcement upgrade as part of its restoration project, reopening with a modern audio system that respects the architectural and acoustic heritage of the space.
Installed by Audio Integra in collaboration with ProSound Chile, the system is based on SI Series P10j column loudspeakers, selected following detailed acoustic simulations to meet the specific demands of the church’s reverberant environment. The passive installation columns deliver focused coverage and exceptional clarity, improving speech intelligibility and musical reproduction throughout the sanctuary while maintaining a discreet aesthetic appropriate for a heritage site.
In addition to performance, the SI Series P10j units were chosen for their robustness and safety credentials, meeting IP55 environmental standards and EN 54-24:2008 certification for emergency-use scenarios. The result is a sound system that combines architectural sensitivity with high-quality audio performance, enhancing the listening experience for congregations and visitors alike. System:
